Wall Cabinets get installed into the wall. You want to measure the width and height of your wall to make sure your cabinets will fit the wall since they come in different sizes and heights.

You base Cabinets will typically be about 34.5 inches tall

Your counter top will add another 2-3 Inches on top

You should leave a space of 18-21 inches above the counter top to install the wall cabinets.

Ceiling 7ft - Ideal for max 30 inch tall wall cabinets

Ceiling 8ft - Ideal for up to 39 inch tall  wall cabinets

Ceiling 9ft and over - Allows for 42 inch tall wall cabinets
